Transportation Project Manager
Location: Marietta, Georgia, Flexible

Description: Pont Engineering Inc. team is looking for a Project Manager with 3 or more years of experience. Potential candidates will be part of an experienced project management group responsible for working with consultant firms to assure their projects are delivered within the agreed time, scope, and budget. Interested candidates must be self-motivating, organized, and team oriented.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
- Working with a large group of Project Managers to assist, track, and report the status of multi-year design projects
- Review consultant design projects to assure they remain on scope, schedule, and budget
- Report status of multi-year design projects and work with firms to address potential obstacles
- Provide reports and any corrective actions to assure transportation projects and challenges are documented and addressed
- Meet with local communities and community leaders to provide information regarding transportation improvements projects in their area
Position Requirements: Responsive candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- BS from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering

- EIT Certification required; PE certification preferred

Roadway Design Engineer I

Description: Pont Engineering Inc. team is looking for an entry level Roadway Design Engineer. Potential candidates will be part of an experienced design group working on transportation projects with varying degrees of complexity. Interested candidates must have the ability to effectively contribute to the design and production of plans for roadway related projects as a member of a multi-discipline team.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
- Assisting in design of roadway projects including coordination with bridge, traffic, environmental, planning, and/or construction groups
- Creating and/or modifying roadway plans using MicroStation
- Developing, checking and providing design calculations
- Receiving instruction from Senior Engineers and Project Managers
- Keeping Senior Managers and Engineers informed about workload
- Learning GDOT standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, professional societies, etc.

- Participating in non-design related tasks including CADD production and/or field data collection
- Reviewing and implementing designs based on Bridge Foundation Investigations (BFI)
- Researching applicable code requirements
- Receiving instruction from Senior Engineers and Project Managers
- Keeping Senior Managers and Engineers informed about workload
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, professional societies, etc.

Potential candidates will be part of an experienced design group working on transportation projects with varying degrees of complexity. Interested candidates must have the ability to effectively contribute to the design and production of plans for transportation structures as well as lead some structures tasks as a member of multi-discipline project team.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
- Leading and/or assisting team members with design, analysis, load rating, and production of calculations for transportation related structures
- Leading non-design related tasks including CADD production and/or field data collection
- Coordinating and providing feedback to Project Managers
- Providing solutions to technical design challenges in accordance with applicable code
- Reviewing and implementing designs based on Bridge Foundation Investigations (BFI)
- Developing workload for junior staff
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, professional societies, etc.
- Assisting and participating in project proposals
Position Requirements: Responsive candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- BS from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
- 8 or more years of relevant bridge design experience
- PE certification
- Experience using LEAP Bridge design software
- Experience using Microstation to produce transportation plans
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Bridge Inspection experience a plus
